How it works:

You agree to lease the airspace above your property's roof for 25 years and enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
We install a complete solar PV system on your roof FREE OF CHARGE
You will pay a low rate per unit of solar electricity that you use
We will monitor, maintain and insure the solar system for 25 years at NO COST to you

In conjunction with our investment partners, Zestec Assest Management, we will fully fund the entire installation of the solar PV system. Your business benefits by consuming the discounted solar electricity which is generated. After 25 years ownership of the system transfers to you and you enjoy free solar electricity for the remaining life of the system.

Can your business take advantage of a PPA?

To achieve maximum electricity bill savings and carbon emission reductions, your business should:

Own a building with an un-shaded roof which is structurally sound and in a good state or repair. Ground-mounted options are available
Purchase a minimum of 80,000kWh’s of electricity per annum which is consumed on a regular daily pattern
Be financially stable with a strong credit rating

FAQ

What happens if we need to repair our roof?

If any roof repairs require the solar panels to be removed, we will come to remove them at our cost. You will pay the costs of the roof repairs, unless the issue was caused by the solar system, in which case we will cover the costs.
I have a mortgage, do I need to inform my lender?

Yes. We require consent before a system can be installed.
What happens if we sell our property?

Your agreements and its benefits will transfer to the new owner.
Can I buy the system from you?

Yes. You have the option to purchase the system from us. The price will be set out in your agreement and you can buy at any time in your 25-year agreement.
What is the cost/savings of electricity?

Typically we save property owners 10-30% on their electricity tariff. The starting tariff is adjusted annually against the Retail Price Index (RPI).
What happens if the system breaks down or has a fault?

We monitor your system, and if an issue occurs we will come to resolve it. We use high-quality components so the risk of faults is kept to a minimum.
Does my property need to meet any criteria?

Your property needs an energy efficiency rating of 'D' or better. Since 2018 it has become illegal to install a system on properties with an 'E' rating or lower.
I am a commercial landlord with tenants. Can I still benefit?

Yes, but you must make your tenants aware of the project and gain their approval. Contact our team to discuss specific requirements.
